Thomas Mattingly MD

An Indiana native, Dr. Thomas Mattingly is a board certified ophthalmologist specializing in medical and surgical eye care. A graduate of Indiana University School of Medicine, he has served the Lafayette community since 1979.

Dr. Mattingly has extensive experience in the most advanced cataract surgery techniques, having performed thousands of eye surgeries in the past twenty-five years. Dr. Mattingly is active in the American Academy of Ophthalmology. Dr. Mattingly also holds the position of Assistant Clinical Professor of Ophthalmology at Indiana University School of Medicine.

Dedicated to bringing his patients the latest technology with superior care, Dr. Mattingly has completed comprehensive training in LASIK and PRK from leaders in the field. He was the first independent ophthalmologist in the Lafayette area to perform LASIK and has been actively involved with laser vision correction since 1998. Dr. Mattingly is certified in PRELEX and the Rezoom Multifocal Lens Implant for patients who wish to decrease their dependence on reading glasses. Married to Margarita in 1973, Dr. Mattingly is the father of seven children.
